Impressive/Unimpressive: New Hampshire
June 30, 2008 Joe Jacobs - SCR
Impressive:
The Top Three:
I don't care how you got there but Kurt Busch, Michael Waltrip and J.J. Yeley finished first, second and third that's
impressive. Big days for all of them and they should get respect. They outsmarted, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson and Denny
Hamlin. Big points day will pay off.
Aric Almirola:
Kasey Kahne took him out but what does he do? He goes back and takes out Kahne in return. I like the kid's attitude, you
hit him and he will hit you back. Put him with a good team and he could win some races.
Patrick Carpentier: First pole and ran all but two laps Sunday. That's a good day for the rookie. More
days like that and he might make it as a stock car driver, although he may be best suited for a truck or Nationwide ride.
Unimpressive:
Juan
Pablo Montoya: Once again Montoya drove over his head. 25 laps to go, there is no give and take, its go for the win or
the best finish possible. I think it's past the point of rough driving to just plain danger when you spin another driver
under caution. He reminds me of a young Ernie Irvan, only much, much more dangerous.
Tony Stewart: The 20 team beat their self this time. They had another dominating performance taking away
by a two tire change when gas would have done the trick. It's alright though, new team announcement coming soon, will
Greg Zipadelli go with Stewart or will it be a clean break?
Jamie
McMurray: I have never thought much of his talent behind the wheel of a race car and Sunday he showed that lack of talent.
No one will ever know what he was thinking when he hit the back of Dale Earnhardt Jr. as Earnhardt was heading to the pits.
He also took out his teammate which I am sure won't look too good when Jack Roush decides who to drop this season. I think
we all know who is out.
Elliott Sadler: Proof that
a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while... he finished 5th. And he is probably the most idiotic person ever on
Speed's Trackside television show.
Casey Mears:
Well it was a matter of time and Rick Hendrick is probably saying to him self, he should have cut Casey and kept Kyle but
he did not. Casey has enough talent for a truck ride but some pitiful Cup team will pick him up. The credit his last name
has got him has just about run out.
