David Stremme: For a fill in driver it was a great day for Stremme. He ran up front and was a contender much of
the day. Getting taken out on the last lap might have been a downer but he has nothing to hold his head down about. You showed
that you can run with the big boys and that might just pay off with another Cup ride in the near future.
Joe Nemechek: Starting on the pole with an under funded team. Even with support from the Hendrick camp it is a
great achievement. He ran a good race and finished 25th.
Notables: David Regan finished fourth. I know I’ve given him a hard time but he has run a respectable race
Sunday. Brian Vickers finished fifth, last year this team could not make a race, this year it looks as if they could win a
race. Travis Kvapil had a sponsor Sunday and had a good run. More sponsors will come aboard if the good runs continue.
Unimpressive:
Kevin Lepage: I thought
he knew better than that. I mean his stupidity caused a lot of problems Saturday. He use to be a mid-pack Sprint Cup driver
but now he should not be racing a lawn mower. NASCAR should suspend him indefinitely for stupidity.
