Impressive/Unimpressive: Sin City Racing

March 4, 2008

Joe Jacobs – SCR

Impressive:

Carl Edwards: Once again Edwards’s wins but over all it was a good day for Roush Fenway Racing. The Fords were quiet during the off-season for a reason and caught everyone else basking in the limelight. Expect more wins from this team in 2008.

Travis Kvapil: No sponsors, no respect, drives for Yates and they have been a second-class team for a long, long time. But a nice quiet top ten run Sunday. If they can keep it up and a sponsor will come even in these economical hard times.

Kasey Kahne: Sick with the flu and not to mention those horrible women chasing you in those bad commercials. A second top 10 this year, could the Dodge boys be on the way up?

COT: Three hard crashes and three drivers walked away pretty clean. I think the car has done its job so far and the racing is not half bad either. A few tweaks and it should be even better.

Unimpressive:

Jeff Gordon: A four-time champ does not lose a car like he did Sunday. I don’t know what happened but for Gordon’s sake, I hope that was a fluke.

FOX Broadcast: I don’t know about you but I hate that new song they play 50 times a race. It just irritates me. The gopher cam has been run in to the ground as well (no pun intended).

Jimmie Johnson: Wow a horrible start and a horrible finish. It is true you are not superman. If I were you, I would be asking why am I getting the bad parts and not someone else (cough…cough… 88) I don’t think the 48 team will be down long but its tough when your on top to fall that far sometimes.

The Rookie Class: None of the rookie class has jumped out as being the great driver. Each of them have had issues that one would not expect coming from the drivers that have the great resumes that they have.
