Impressive/Unimpressive: Atlanta

October 29, 2007

Joe Jacobs - SCR

Impressive:

Jimmie Johnson: Having a career year and yet it’s not good enough. He won for the 8th won Sunday but still does not have the points lead. That just shows how good Gordon really is.

Martin Truex: Domination was the word of the day fir Truex; just bad luck comes up and bit him. Stay patent and next year you will be the top dog on the team. With his runs in 2007 he has shown he deserves it too.

Toyota: Making gains on the competition each and every week. Sunday the manufacture had a 10th (Brian Vickers) and 11th (Waltrip) place finish. ON Saturday Toyota won the Busch race (David Reutimann) and on Friday Dale Jarrett qualified 3rd for yesterday’s Cup race, next year might be the break out year.

Not NASCAR but Tom Brady, who can stop that guy, he is a machine, good thing I have him in my fantasy league.

Unimpressive:

ESPN: I always complain about how horrible they are, and today was no different. But Dale Earnhardt Jr. having a test with Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) and the color of the car is not important to Sunday’s race. There is a race going on, there is a championship fight pay attention to them not some practice session tomorrow.

ESPN Again: Got to love the commercial 500.

Tony Stewart: Not that you have done anything wrong, the luck has just not fallen your way. Good thing you will have Toyota on your side next year and then you can compete against the Hendrick domination.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.: If its not one thing it’s another, what looked like either a loose wheel or broken axle was the culprit this time. Glad you are alright, but one can only assume that you are just counting down the days until Daytona.

David Ragan: Not really sure what Jack Roush saw in him for the flagship No. 6 car. A flat tire is not his fault but it seems like each and every week he crashes or causes someone else to crash.
