Pocono/ Nashville - Impressive/ Unimpressive

June 11, 2007

Joe Jacobs - SCR

Impressive:

Hendrick Motorsports cannot be beaten; everyone else needs to go home or work on their cars. Its only June but the championship looks to be going to the 24 team, yes I mean Jeff Gordon. Gordon has Four (4) wins this season and over a 200 point lead, pretty impressive.

Pit strategy was a key factor in Sunday's race, four tires and gas was not the norm and we need more of that in NASCAR.

I did not hear Boogity, Boogity, Boogity during the TNT coverage, the coverage has also been better than expected, Benny Parsons is still missed.

Speculation of Dale Earnhardt Jr’s. future was not involved in the TV coverage Sunday, a nice change of pace.

Penske Racing has turned their program around they should be next with a win.

NASCAR and the track crew for making every attempt to run the full distance of the Pocono 500, trying to give the fans the their monies worth.

Unimpressive

The fact Kurt Busch was not watching Sunday's race  from home; he should be sitting for at least one race… probably more.

Roush Racing has been miserable and Sunday was no different. The 16 team is dealing with contract issues and that looks to be distracting all Roush teams.

The car 30th fastest in qualifying went home again; qualifying is a joke, I wonder if it will be changed if Dale Earnhardt Jr. goes to a team with no points next season (point to ponder)?

Mark Martin is 12th in points and not run all the races, not knocking Mark but where is the competition in the back end of the top 12.

Cup Dominate in the Busch series is sickening and bad for the Busch Series.

ESPN’s Rusty Wallace is the worst commentator in the history of NASCAR.

WEATHER!!!!!!!!!! The weather has stunk for the last month. Can we get a race in with no rain?
