Junior then
had to weather the passing of his Father only a matter of days after co-driving a Corvette with his Dad in the 2001 24 Hours
of Daytona.
Still unsure
of himself, Junior continued on, and had to work through his grief in front of the glare of the camera, and had to move forward
without his dad’s guidance for either himself or the team.
As time moved
forward, Junior matured on and off the track, and his following grew exponentially. In a sport of political correctness, his
character and honesty endeared him to fans of all ages, and his popularity is now unrivaled in the sport.
Earnhardt
Jr.’s stepmother, Teresa Earnhardt stood tall and carried the team after the passing of Dale Sr.; however the relationship
between Junior and his stepmother has been one of restraint, and of contracts.
It is time
for Junior to move on with his on team, JR Motorsports. Junior is now in his early thirties, at the peak of his career, and
it is simply the right time for him to call his own shots, to change his destiny, for a new beginning in a brave new world.
Not only
Dale Sr. fans, but all fans will be pulling for him to be successful. There is a way to do more than cheer for Dale Jr.…
Support Dale Jr. in your own life by not taking the “easy” way out, but rather by taking that chance, by following
that quiet voice in your heart that whispers what is right, by moving forward to the next shining step in your life, just
as Junior moves forward with his.
