Kevin Harvick continued the
hot streak that he and the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) stable has been on Saturday afternoon by winning the Yellow Transportation
300 at the Kansas Speedway. The win was the seventh of the season for Harvick and the sixth straight in the Busch and Nextel
Cup Series for RCR.
Harvick held off Matt Kenseth
in a green-white-checker finish to win the caution field Race. Kenseth finished second followed by Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart
and Clint Bowyer.
With the win Harvick now leads
Carl Edwards in the points by 729; mathematically they are the only two drivers that could win the Busch title this season.
Logically Harvick needs to pick up 31 points on Edwards in the next five races to clinch the 2006 Busch Series Championship.
